Several key dates are looming in the next few months for those of you thinking about taking the Georgia WebMBA® course offered by Georgia College.
Wednesday, Sept. 10, 2014. A webinar is being offered that will explain all you need to know about this top-ranked program. It starts at 12 noon and topics covered will be admission requirements, the cohort program and consortium schools. Participants will be able to ask faculty and staff questions during the session.
The webinar is free but prior registration is needed. Registrants will be sent a link to the session via email. The next available semester is Spring 2015, but students can pick subsequent ones if they wish. More information can be obtained by emailing [email protected]
Saturday, Nov. 15, 2014. This is the priority deadline for applications to the Spring 2015 semester.
Monday, Dec. 1, 2014. Final deadline for applications.
Friday, Jan. 9 and Saturday, Jan. 10, 2015. Successful applicants who live in the United States will attend a mandatory two-day orientation on the Georgia College campus outside Atlanta.
Wednesday, Jan. 14, 2015. Courses begin.
Admission requirements stipulate applicants must have a Bachelor’s Degree and “two years of professional work experience,” according to the website, and performance on the Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT) will be taken into account, as will the candidate’s undergraduate work. Students currently in the program have a median GMAT score of 530. In some cases, results of the Graduate Record Exam (GRE) can be substituted for the GMAT, and significant experience in the workplace can be considered in lieu of both tests. Other factors for admission include “showing high promise of success in graduate study.” Full details can be found here.
If you have specific questions about all this, send an email to Lynn Hanson, Director of Graduate Programs in Business, or call 478-445-5115. Good luck!
